Why a Buyers Agent? Why Frank?

Massachusetts Real Estate agents (including Realtors) are bound by contract to be loyal and obedient to "their" client. These are only two of the many rights a client must receive from their agent. This is not a matter of ethics, it is the law. Now, it's pretty easy to see how "money flow" could impact the process of being impartial because the selling agent earns more money if they act as an agent to both their seller and the buyer. Additionally, the agents earnings will increase with the property's sell price.

Consensual Dual Agency?

Sounds a bit frightening doesn't it? Well, and these aren't my words, this is what the Massachusetts General Law Real Estate Handbook says about Consensual Dual Agency.

"A real estate broker or salesperson may act as an agent for both a seller and prospective purchaser of real estate provided that the broker or salesperson obtains informed written consent from both the seller and the prospective purchaser."???
